The rules governing the use of universityloto.com and participation in the charitable lottery in support of Trent University.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of universityloto.com (the "Website") and your participation in the charitable lottery in support of Trent University (the "Campaign"). By accessing the Website, registering an account or purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
2. The Charitable Lottery
The Campaign conducts a licensed charitable lottery to raise funds in support of campus heritage reconstruction on the Symons Campus of Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. Proceeds support structural restoration, classroom refurbishment, accessibility upgrades and the renewal of student commons. The lottery is operated in accordance with the terms of Raffle Licence RAF1539707 and applicable provincial regulations.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register, purchase a ticket or otherwise participate.
- Where applicable, participation is restricted to residents of Ontario or other jurisdictions permitted under the lottery licence.
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and keep your account information up to date.
- The Campaign reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage, including before issuing any prize.
4. Registration & Account Security
To purchase tickets you may be required to create a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity conducted under your account. You agree to notify the Campaign promptly of any suspected unauthorised use of your account.
5. Ticket Purchases
- Tickets may only be purchased through the official universityloto.com platform.
- Each ticket purchase represents a charitable contribution to Trent University and an entry into the official lottery draw, subject to confirmation of payment.
- All ticket sales are final once confirmed, except as required by applicable law or the conditions of the lottery licence.
- The Campaign reserves the right to refuse or cancel a transaction that breaches these Terms, the licence conditions or applicable law.
6. The Draw & Winners
The official lottery draw is conducted in accordance with the conditions of Raffle Licence RAF1539707. Winners are determined solely by the official draw process and contacted using the information provided at registration. There is no guaranteed outcome of participation, and no representation is made that any particular ticket will win. Prizes must be claimed in accordance with the official rules and within the timelines specified.
7. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Website lawfully and responsibly. You will not:
- Use the Website in a way that breaches applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, accounts or systems.
- Use automated tools, scripts or bots to interact with the Website without prior written permission.
- Submit false, misleading or impersonating information at registration or purchase.
- Engage in conduct that could damage, disable or impair the Website or the experience of other users.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on universityloto.com, including text, design, graphics and the licence references, is the property of the Trent University charitable lottery campaign or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. References to Trent University are used solely in the context of identifying the beneficiary of the Campaign. You may not reproduce or use any content without prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
9. Responsible Participation
The charitable lottery is intended as a recreational activity and a means of supporting a campus reconstruction cause. Participation must remain within your personal financial and emotional means. We encourage you to review our Responsible Gaming page for further guidance and support resources.
10. Disclaimer
The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While reasonable care is taken to ensure accuracy and availability, no warranty is given that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. The Campaign is not liable for losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Campaign, its directors, officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the Website, except where such liability cannot be excluded under law.
12. Changes to these Terms
The Campaign may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available on this page. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the lottery is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent in that province.
